Is MBBS necessary for dermatology in Pakistan?

In Pakistan, an MBBS (Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery) degree is typically considered a prerequisite for pursuing a career in dermatology.

After completing an MBBS degree, individuals can then go on to complete a postgraduate training program in dermatology, which is typically a 2-year program. This program is recognized by the Pakistan Medical and Dental Council (PMDC) and is known as FCPS (Fellowship of College of Physicians and Surgeons) in Dermatology.

During the FCPS program, trainees gain experience in the diagnosis and management of various skin conditions, as well as performing various procedures such as laser therapy, chemical peels, and other cosmetic procedures.

It's important to note that the regulations and requirements for medical education and training may vary in different countries, and it's best to check with the relevant authorities in Pakistan for the most up-to-date information.
