Laser whitening and bleaching therapies are a kind of peeling process.  We utilize very fast pulse modes with pico and nanosecond laser technology to help clear the hyperpigmentation of intimate area as well as underarms, neck, inner thighs, perianal area. Discoloration, darkening, and regional staining can occur on labia majora which is covered with hair and located in the ‘vulva’ area in the outer genital region. In order to solve this problem, genital area bleaching and whitening treatments give very satisfactory results. Laser whitening or bleaching therapies are a kind of peeling process and one of genital aesthetics procedures.

What is Intimate Skin Bleaching?

Intimate Skin Bleaching or Intimate Skin Lightening as the term implies, is a cosmetic procedure that aims to reverse skin darkening around Intimate areas namely the Vaginal Labia, Bikini or Inner Thighs, Perianal Area and it also encompasses areas involving a fold like Underarms, Back of Neck, Elbows and Knees and more. Over a quarter million men and women per year perform Intimate Skin bleaching. This treatment is almost as common as shaving your legs.

Intimate Skin pigmentation is often due to shaving, friction from fabric, childbirth, hormone related, or simply due to aging. Laser Intimate Skin Bleaching is a safe and comfortable treatment, usually completed within 20 minutes. Generally, around 3-4 treatments are recommended every 20-30 days for optimal results, however, depending on the case, sometimes even 2 treatments are sufficient!

How does Intimate Skin Bleaching work?

Intimate skin whitening laser is an advanced non-invasive ablative technology, we gently remove micro thin layers of pigmented surface tissue, as well as targeting directly the pigment in the skin with ultra fast nano and pico second lasers revealing lighter skin and stimulating fresh, less pigmented cell development.

The greatest advantage of this laser technique is that intimate skin bleaching can be achieved fairly quickly and with little effort on your part. An additional benefit of using laser as vaginal bleaching is that the new skin developed will be tighter and smoother because of the stimulated collagen regeneration. Furthermore, there are few side effects and generally a mild sensitivity and temporary redness resolve within a few days.

What body parts can I bleach?

Common areas are:

  • Vaginal bleaching, vulvar bleaching, anal (perianal) bleaching, buttocks bleaching, inner thigh bleaching, bikini line bleaching, underarm bleaching, knee and elbow bleaching can all be performed safely with our lasers

Are You A Candidate for Intimate Skin Bleaching?

To get the best possible results, you need to know if you are a good candidate for vulvar bleaching treatment. A consultation is recommended but generally, you are a good candidate if;

  • You fit into an ethnic group, who tends to have darker skin.
  • You are not satisfied with your physical appearance.
  • You are losing confidence due to dark skin.
  • You suffer from stretching and scarring after childbirth, hormonal discoloration, and the signs of aging

What causes Intimate Skin darkening?

There are many causes ranging from lifestyle to health. Discoloration of intimate areas, vulva darkening and vaginal darkening can be caused by aging, hormonal changes, pregnancy, infections and medical conditions such as contact dermatitis or STDs, and only a properly trained certified professional can help you determine the best course of action or if Intimate Skin Bleaching (ISB) is right for you.

There are a few things that you can do in the meantime to prevent the skin from further discoloration; however, they are not guaranteed. Avoiding coffee, dark sodas, and artificial colors in food can help with the discoloration of the peri-anal area, for example. Discontinued use of deodorants that contain alcohol or aluminum also helps with pigmentation in the underarm area.

The use of G-strings, not only makes the rectal opening more visible, hence the need for some women to bleach the peri-anal area, but the actual use of G-strings causes the peri-anal (and vaginal) area to become darker with the rubbing of the material (usually nylon) against the skin, causing laceration or burning of the skin. So, women who are frequent users of G-strings tend to have darker peri-anal and vaginal areas.

Shaving and waxing the pubic area causes more pigmentation due to heat, inflammation and friction. In general, anything that produces heat, inflammation, laceration, and friction may cause hyperpigmentation, also known as Post-Inflammatory Hyperpigmentation (PIH).

As with anything, you should consult a doctor if you suspect that health is the culprit. A certified personnel is able to determine if a health condition might be present and refer you to an appropriate health provider. A thorough consultation to determine the contraindications is necessary.

How many Intimate Skin Bleaching treatments will I need?

Everyone’s skin is a bit different so there is no hard and fast rule for how long it will take to lighten your skin.

An average of 3-4 sessions is what we recommend to get noticeable changes. Again, as everyone is different and reacts differently to the same treatment, the need for more sessions is possible.

Do you give 100% guarantee?

No doctor can give 100% guarantee that the treatment or surgery would be beneficial for the patient. For that matter, no guarantee is given by any doctor or surgeon that the patient would be "cured".

Anyone considering a cosmetic procedure should ensure they are informed enough to understand the limitations and risks of any procedure. Remember, no procedure is 100% risk free and no surgeon can give a 100% guarantee of the results.

The only assurance which a doctor can give or can be understood to have given by implication is that he is possessed of the requisite skill in that branch of profession which he is practicing and while undertaking the performance of the task entrusted to him he would be exercising his skill with reasonable competence.

Unless the circumstances are exceptional, it is advisable to avoid surgery if you have recently experienced major life events such as moving house, changing job, losing a loved one, the break-up of a relationship or the arrival of children. Undergoing cosmetic surgery results in emotional changes as well as physical ones, so it’s wise to choose a time when there aren’t other stressful events going on in your life.

How many sessions do I require?

The healthier your skin/hair are when starting out, the easier it will take the treatment. The sessions must be spaced to allow adequate healing in between. Skin/Hair that are healthy enough to regenerate fairly quickly will be able to endure more sessions of a treatment in a shorter period of time.

While these aren’t the only factors involved, they are the most common. Don’t be surprised, however, if your doctor mentions another situation that could impact the length and/or number of sessions you may require. Every person is different, and your circumstances will be unique only to YOU.
